This is a great song about being stuck in a rut.
"Three Ways"
There’s three ways out of every box
Fall out the bottom
Or you crawl out the top
There’s three ways
Out of every, every box
But if you can’t find your way out
Then you just burn it
To the ground
Then you’ll disappear
Like smoke
Into the clouds
There’s three ways off a merry-go-round
You either jump
Or you let it slow down
There’s three ways
Off a merry-go, merry-go round
But if you can’t put your foot down
Then you just burn it
To the ground
Then you walk away
Real slow
Back into the crowd
There’s always somebody there for a laugh
Then you’re the only one
That’s left
Now that’s what you get
Left behind in the wreck
There’s three ways off a burning bridge
You pray for rain
Or you learn how to swim
There’s three ways off of every
Burning bridge
But if you can’t find strength
And you quit
Then you can just burn up
And sink
Then you’ll drift away
Real slow
Down into the ground

Easy Leadership

This is a model for leading new Christians. Its not overbearing, but soft, slow, easy. Jesus did this when he was slow in rebuking the disciples. There were many instances where he could have kicked a disciple out of the group for not getting it. He chose to show them the way gently, just like Paul writes to the Thessalonians.
And the result? They accepted the message as God's word to them.
Who in our life needs a little soft leadership?

Wouldn't it be cool if our pastors didn't have to describe what Christian living should look like. It would be great if they could just point to the people in the congregation and say, "Take a look at the regulars. They get it, do life like they do." That is exactly what happened with the Thessalonians.
Everyone was looking up to the Thessalonians because their lives echoed Christ. They were embracing people as they came, and they did away with anything that stood between them and God. There was no doubt about their faith, it simply radiated from their actions. How can we set out to follow that example and have our lives BE the Message?
