True Community

My proffessor today told us about when he was a pastor in downtown St. Petersburg. He explained how he was often aked to do funerals for people who seemed to have no family or friends. He said, "I can remember many occasions where the only funeral attendees where the funeral home staff."

At church we have been talking about community. We have stated that we need each other. Any funeral that i have been to has had quite remarkable attendance. I wonder how lonely the final days were like for these people who had absolutely no one who was even willing to attend thier service.

There is no substitute for true community, so don't neglect yours.
