Why is there so much pressure on firsts?
First day of school, First dance, First date, First kiss, First blog...
For some unknown reason I almost didnt create a blogsite because I didnt want to write a stupid "first" blog. I think its because in our culture we are taught that you only get one shot in life. Is that really true? I doubt it. Instead, I think its quite natural for something to be horrible when its the first, because life is a learning process. One of my professors is known for being a very knowledgeable teacher who gives difficult tests. When a student comes to him about a poor test grade he always says,"The test is of little importance, It's all a part of the learning experience." So what if I write a stupid blog. The next will be better. Thats what second chances are for, and we are all thankful for second chances.
